BharatPDF was born out of a simple frustration: every existing PDF tool either charged a subscription, uploaded your private documents to foreign servers, or bombarded you with ads. We believed Indians — and people everywhere — deserved better.
Founded in 2023 by a small team of developers and designers passionate about digital privacy, BharatPDF set out to build the most capable, free, and private PDF toolkit available on the web. We built everything to run directly inside your browser using cutting-edge WebAssembly and JavaScript libraries, so your sensitive documents stay exactly where they belong: on your device.
Today, BharatPDF is trusted by students, lawyers, accountants, small business owners, and professionals across India and beyond. We are proud to offer 12+ powerful tools at zero cost, with zero data collection.

- Unlock PDF — Remove password from a PDF you own
- Rotate PDF — Rotate all or specific pages by 90°, 180°, or 270°
- Excel to PDF — Convert spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) to PDF
- Page Numbers — Add page numbers to any PDF
- Resize PDF — Change pages to A4, Letter, A3, or Legal size

Technology
BharatPDF is powered by industry-leading open-source libraries:
- PDF-Lib — Create, modify, merge, split, and encrypt PDF files entirely in the browser
- PDF.js — Mozilla’s battle-tested PDF rendering engine, used for compression and page-to-image conversion
- SheetJS (XLSX) — Parse and convert Excel and CSV files
- JSZip — Bundle multiple output files into a single ZIP download
All of these libraries run client-side. There is no backend server involved in document processing. Our web server only serves the website’s HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files — nothing else.
